  • We have a number of flying schools at Blackbushe.

Our own ATO, Blackbushe Aviation, offer all aspects of training from trial lessons, PPL, and CPL training. Contact them here: https://flyblackbushe.com

AirFirst, and SEMET Aviation are both based at Blackbushe and offer PPL training. See https://blackbushe.com/learn-to-fly.

Aerobility offer accessible flying for those with disabilities. See www.aerobility.com

  • Lots of third party websites offer expereince flight vouchers, such as Virgin Experiences, Adventure 001. You’ll need to check your voucher for the contact details for the school you’ve booked with, as the airport cannot help with booking those.

  • You can find out more about our noise abatement areas, how we manage noise, and log a complaint here.

  • Blackbushe is a safeguarded aerodrome, and it’s really important any potential crane lifts are assessed for their impact on air traffic. You can find out more and inform us of a planned lift here.

  • Blackbushe has an FRZ which restricts drone activity in the vicinity of the aerodrome. Most requests can be accomodated though. Find out more about how to fly your drone safely and submit a drone request here.

  • Blackbushe can accommodate film shoots from both big and small productions. To find out more about the spaces we have, the limitations on their use, or to tell us about your production click here.

  • We’re a relatively small team and so vacancies with the airport aren’t that frequent. The Pathfinder Cafe often has vacancies for zero-houred or flexible shifts. Check our careers page for more information.

  • We get a lot of interest for work experience placements at the airport. We can only accomodate a limited number of placements each year. To manage this more effectively, we accept applications in January and February each year for placements during the summer months. We can only accept placements from students in Year 12 or above. To find out more about placements click here.

  • Dr Sam Ward has an office within the main terminal building for the purposes of pilot medicals. He is not employed or affiliated with Blackbushe Airport. We’re unable to deal with any queries either online or on the phone.

If you have a question for Dr Ward, please use the email address he provides on his website: https://aeromedical-examiner.com

  • We don’t disclose publicly what flights or other events (including vehicle runs, Spitfire flights) are happening at Blackbushe in advance.

If you are planning to visit the airport to watch aircraft, the amount of flights can vary during the day depending on weather. If it’s sunny, dry, and not too windy, you can expect a lot of activity.

Even when the weather is restricting us, you can still see aircraft operating most days, as well as airport vehicles, fire engines etc. The Pathfinder Cafe is open from 0800-1600 and has a patio where viewing is possible.
