Today work started on our new taxiway. Once completed, this new taxiway will run parallel with the runway from hold E1 to taxiway D. This re-aligned route will make room for our Phase 1A 38,000 sqft hangar which will be breaking ground in the new year.
Gatwick Construction Ltd are primary contractor for our groundworks. Since the start of October, they've already installed a new 700m internal access road sub-base, a site compound, and are simultaneously installing ducting for all the utilities the new hangar will require. A big thanks to Charlie Pankhurst, Tim Toon, and their team - we know we're in safe hands and are really impressed with the speed of works so far.
